(jd) A 14-year-old from Vlotho was injured in a traffic accident on Herforder Straße on Wednesday evening (06.08.). The teenager was riding his pedelec from Exter towards the town center at 10.40 pm. Apparently distracted for a moment, he crashed his pedelec into a Chevrolet parked on the side of the road. The teenager hit the rear window, which shattered and caused minor injuries. He was treated on site by an ambulance that was called to the scene. Parents and guardians were informed about the accident, which resulted in property damage in the three-digit range.
