Attempted robbery

(jd) A 19-year-old man from Herford was on the station square at around 11.25 p.m. on Friday (11.10.). Suddenly, he was approached by a group of about seven people he did not know: They demanded money and a cell phone from the 19-year-old, otherwise they threatened him with violence. The 19-year-old fled on foot in the direction of Auf der Freiheit street. A search for the group of people by police officers who were called to the scene was unsuccessful. The police are asking possible witnesses to contact them on 05221/8880 or at one of the police stations.
