(jd) On Saturday (March 15), a 22-year-old man from Herford was walking along Mary-Somerville-Boulevard when he was approached at 8.15 p.m. by a group of strangers consisting of around three to four people. Suddenly and abruptly, these people hit the man from Herford. Even after the 22-year-old had fallen to the ground, at least one person continued to hit him before the group left him and fled on foot in an unknown direction. The 22-year-old informed the police, who immediately launched a manhunt. However, this was unsuccessful. An ambulance was called to the scene to treat the man's injuries. The criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation and is asking possible witnesses to call 05221/8880.
