Burglary attempt in terraced house

(jd) Unknown suspects took advantage of the homeowners' absence to break into a terraced house on Mozartstraße. On Thursday (12.9.), the owners discovered on their return that the front door had been severely damaged. However, the door's locking mechanism withstood the force and so the strangers were unable to get into the house. Property damage in the three-digit range was caused. The Herford criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation and is asking witnesses to contact them on 05221/8880.
