A house on Mindener Straße was broken into on Friday (26.7.) while the residents were away. The residents left the locked house early in the morning at around 7.45 am. At around 10.30 p.m., they were informed by a cell phone that someone was at the front door and rang the doorbell. Due to the rather unusual time of day, the residents returned to the house and noticed the break-in.
The as yet unknown perpetrators pried open a window at the back and got into the house. Once inside, they damaged another window and ransacked the living quarters. Presumably startled by triggering motion detectors, the perpetrators fled and took a Blink surveillance camera as stolen property. They then fled in an unknown direction.
The criminal investigation department has begun analyzing video footage and evidence at the crime scene and is looking for further witnesses who can provide information about suspicious persons or vehicles in the area of the crime scene. Information can be obtained by calling 05221-8880.
