(jd) Last night (7.8.), a couple woke up when they heard loud noises in their house on Südheide Street at around 3.30 am. Suddenly and unexpectedly, the homeowners looked into the light of a flashlight. An unknown male person had gained access to the house and left the location in a hurry when the homeowners shouted loudly and managed to alert the police.
The police officers who arrived immediately launched a manhunt for the dark-suited man, who was around 185 cm tall and wearing a mask at the time of the crime. However, the search was unsuccessful.
On the scene, the officers discovered that a window on the first floor had been smashed with a stone, allowing the unknown man to enter the house. After an initial inspection by the homeowners, a cash box containing savings books was stolen. A further list of possible stolen property is still being compiled.
