Burglary in rental garage

The tenant of an underground garage on Berliner Straße in Herford noticed on Thursday evening (29.8.) at around 6.20 pm that previously unknown persons had opened the door to the garage and rummaged through it for stolen goods. The victim had last entered the garage a week earlier and had not noticed any break-ins. The perpetrators stole a hard hat and a tool trolley from the garage. Both had a value of around 250 euros. Further investigations will have to show whether any other stolen goods were taken. The criminal investigation department is asking witnesses who can provide further information about the break-in to call 05221-8880.
