BWM crashes into electricity pylon

(jd) Residents of Gehlenbrink Street heard a loud bang yesterday (29.9.) at around 2.25 am. When they looked outside, they noticed a demolished BMW. The driver managed to get out of the car on his own. The residents looked after the slightly injured man until the emergency services arrived. The police officers who arrived noticed that the driver, a 20-year-old man from Spenger, showed strong signs of alcohol consumption. Blood samples were taken from him at a nearby hospital, where he was taken by ambulance. The officers banned the man from driving vehicles requiring a license. According to initial investigations, the man was driving on Gehlenbrink in the direction of Bünder Straße and then veered off the road to the left. The vehicle collided with an electricity pole. The damage amounts to around 11,000 euros.
