On Thursday evening (14.11.) at around 6.10 p.m., police officers were called to a traffic accident on Wertherstraße in Enger. When the officers arrived, there were two damaged vehicles at house number 39. According to those involved, a 68-year-old woman from Spenge was driving her Opel Mokka on Wertherstraße in the direction of Enger. In the darkness, a deer suddenly jumped out of the right-hand verge and collided with the front of the Mokka. Due to the force of the impact, the deer was thrown into the oncoming lane. At the same time, a 67-year-old man from Spenge was driving his VW Passat. The deer hit the side window, causing it to shatter completely. The 67-year-old was injured in the face and taken by ambulance to hospital in Bünde for outpatient treatment. Both vehicles were damaged in the accident. The responsible gamekeeper was informed about the injured/dead deer.
