Collision at an intersection

(jd) At around 7.45 a.m. yesterday (11/11), a traffic accident occurred at the Hansastraße / Holser Straße junction. A 59-year-old man from Gütersloh was driving his Audi on Hansastraße and intended to turn into Holser Straße at the intersection in the direction of Lange Wand. At the same time, a 47-year-old man from Preußisch Oldendorf was driving his Audi on Hansastraße coming from Else-Hanauer-Straße and intended to continue straight ahead. The two vehicles then collided at the junction. Due to the force of the impact, the Audi of the Preußisch Oldendorf driver skidded onto a grass verge. Both drivers were injured in the accident and taken to nearby hospitals by two ambulances. The junction remained closed for the duration of the accident investigation. The material damage is in the six-figure range.
