(jd) An attentive witness noticed damage to property on Lange Straße on Tuesday (15.10.) at around 2 p.m.: She saw four male youths aged around eleven to 13 setting off a firework. They then threw it into an old clothes container belonging to a local social organization. The youths then quickly left on foot in the direction of Herforder Straße. The fire department, which was called to the scene, immediately extinguished the fire, which caused damage in the three-digit range. The police officers who also arrived initiated a search of the area, which was unsuccessful. Any further witnesses who can provide information about the young people, one of whom was wearing a black cap and a black jacket with red stripes, are asked to call 05221/8880.
