(hd) In the night from Thursday (07.08.2025) to Friday (08.08.2025), a 53-year-old driver was startled when he drove onto the Ahmser Straße / Hohe Warth traffic circle in Herford at around 00:20 a.m. because an obstacle was apparently stretched across the road. On closer inspection, this obstacle turned out to be tear-proof adhesive tape. It had been stretched between traffic signs across the sidewalk and the roadway by unknown persons. The tape is certainly not a serious obstacle for a car. However, two-wheeled cyclists would most likely have fallen if they had come into contact with it. This would have resulted in property damage and personal injury. The police are therefore investigating on suspicion of attempted dangerous interference with road traffic. Witnesses who can provide information on this matter are asked to call 05221 / 888-0.
