(hd) On Monday (25.08.2025), as yet unknown perpetrators took advantage of the brief absence of a resident to break into a detached house on the street In der Kuhle in Herford. The resident left the house at around 08:10 to do some shopping. When he returned at around 08:55, he discovered that the patio door was open. It had apparently been forced open. The perpetrators had searched all the rooms in the house and stolen a furniture safe and a jewelry box. The criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation. Possible witnesses to the crime who can provide information about the circumstances are asked to call 05221 / 888-0.
