Driving without a license

(jd) Officers from the Herford district police department noticed a Mercedes on Oeynhauser Straße yesterday (6.5.) at 7.18 pm while on patrol. The previously unknown driver of the Mercedes disregarded the red traffic light and turned off in the direction of Königstraße. As a result, a vehicle check was carried out. The driver, a 24-year-old from Melle, showed signs of narcotics consumption. A corresponding test, which was carried out on the spot, was positive. The man from Melle, who does not have a valid driving license, was taken to a nearby hospital to have a blood sample taken.
