Drunk driving

(jd) Yesterday (15.1.), officers from the Herford district police department noticed an Opel on Donoer Straße at around 7.50 pm. The car was driving in serpentine lines in the direction of Buntemühlenweg and, for reasons that were not apparent, the driver braked hard several times. The officers therefore subjected the driver to a check. They immediately noticed a distinct odor of alcohol coming from the driver, a 48-year-old woman from Bünde. A breath alcohol test carried out on the spot was clearly positive. The woman, who is not in possession of a valid driving license, was taken to the Bünde police station to have a blood sample taken. She was banned from driving vehicles requiring a license. After the police measures were completed, she was released on the spot.
