Drunk driving

(jd) On Saturday (22.2.) in the late evening hours, attentive witnesses noticed a Kia in the Herford city center area that was driving in serpentine lines and was apparently damaged. The witnesses informed the police. The officers located the car described in the area of Salzufler Straße. Among other things, it had a partially torn out bumper. At the owner's address of the Kia, the officers then met the driver described by the witnesses, a 58-year-old woman from Herford. She showed clear signs of alcohol consumption, which was confirmed by a breath alcohol test. The woman was taken to the Herford police station to have a blood sample taken. Her driving license was confiscated and she was banned from driving vehicles requiring a driving license. Whether further damage was caused during the journey is currently still under investigation.
