Drunk driving

(jd) During a patrol, officers from the Herford district police department noticed a Seat yesterday (26.3.) at 7.16 pm. It was initially in a parking lot on Sedanstraße and intended to turn onto it. The driver, who was unknown at the time, had not switched on any lights on his vehicle and then drove at a significantly higher speed in the direction of Hindenburgstraße. The driver initially did not react to the patrol car's signals to stop, but then stopped on Friedrichstraße. The smell of alcohol immediately emanated from inside the vehicle and the driver showed clear signs of alcohol and narcotics consumption. Tests carried out on the spot turned out positive, so the man, a 21-year-old from Bünde, was taken to the Bünde police station for a blood sample to be taken. His driving license was confiscated and he was banned from driving vehicles requiring a driving license.
