E-scooter crashes into car

(jd) A traffic accident occurred at the Hochstraße / Wollfeldstraße junction on Tuesday (16.09.) at 1.20 pm. A 15-year-old from Kirchlengern was riding his e-scooter on Wollfeldstraße in the direction of the intersection. He was carrying another person on his scooter, who was a 15-year-old from Herford. When the 15-year-old entered the intersection, he collided with a 20-year-old woman from Bünder, who also entered the intersection in her VW and had the right of way. The two 15-year-olds were thrown onto the road as a result of the heavy impact and sustained minor injuries. The man from Herford was treated at the scene by the crew of an ambulance, while the man from Kirchlenger was taken to hospital by ambulance for outpatient treatment. The 20-year-old was seriously injured in the accident and was also taken by ambulance to hospital, where she was admitted as an inpatient. The legal guardians of the two 15-year-olds were informed of the accident. Property damage of around 3,000 euros was caused.
