E-scooter rider injured in accident

(jd) On Monday (14.10.), a 42-year-old man from Bünde was slightly injured in an accident. The man was riding his e-scooter on Hermannstraße coming from Lönsweg at around 8.57 pm. At the junction with Minden-Weseler-Weg, he intended to turn right onto the footpath/cycle path there in the direction of Bünde. At the same time, a previously unknown cyclist was riding on the Minden-Weseler-Weg footpath/cycle path in the direction of Enger. When both road users were on the same level, they touched each other and fell to the ground. The cyclist got on his bike without giving any further details and rode off. The e-scooter rider was taken to hospital by ambulance. The traffic commissioner's office of the Herford district police authority has taken over the investigation and is asking the person involved in the accident or any witnesses who can provide information about the unknown cyclist to contact them on 05221/8880.
