Fiat crashes into tree

(jd) On Sunday (April 13), a 32-year-old man from Kirchlengern was driving his Fiat on Osnabrücker Straße in the direction of Bünde at around 8.19 pm. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, he lost control of his vehicle and veered left across the oncoming lane into a ditch. There, the car crashed head-on into two trees. The 32-year-old was seriously injured in the accident. First aiders looked after the man until the emergency services arrived and he was taken to hospital for further treatment. The Herford police traffic commissioner's office has taken over the investigation into the circumstances of the accident. Osnabrücker Straße was closed for the duration of the accident investigation. The damage to property amounts to around 3,000 euros.
