Fiat crashes into tree

(jd) A traffic accident occurred on Kaiserstraße at around 8 p.m. on Friday (11.07.). A 41-year-old man from Enger was driving his Fiat in the direction of Minden-Weseler- Weg when he lost control of his car on a straight road. He veered off the road to the left and initially ended up on the grass verge before crashing head-on into a tree. His passenger was injured in the accident and taken to hospital by ambulance. The police officers who were called to the scene noticed signs of alcohol consumption in the 41-year-old, which was confirmed by a test carried out at the scene. The man was taken to the Bünde police station to have a blood sample taken, where his driving license was confiscated. The scene of the accident remained closed for the duration of the accident investigation. Property damage of around 12,000 euros was caused.
