High-priced tools stolen

(jd) Previously unknown suspects attacked a garage in Vlotho between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning (16.10.). The owner discovered yesterday at around 8.00 a.m. that the lock to the building on Alter Schulweg street had been broken into. The building has a sliding gate which is secured by a shackle with a padlock. The lock was apparently cut with a tool. Once inside the building, the owner discovered that several high-priced tools had been stolen: These included several cordless screwdrivers, cordless saws and a Makita hammer drill as well as a Stihl chainsaw. The total damage was in the four-figure range. The criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation and is asking witnesses who observed anything conspicuous during this period to contact them on 05221/8880.
