Hit and run

(jd) At around 5.19 am on Monday (16.12.), the driver of a Nissan hit a gate on a petrol station site on Klinkstraße. The gate was so badly warped that it had to be replaced, causing damage of around 4,000 euros. However, the driver of the Nissan continued his journey in the direction of Engerstraße without fulfilling his obligations as the party involved in the accident. The police officers called by the petrol station employee viewed the video footage from the security cameras. The man, a 63-year-old from Bünde, is now facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident without permission. The officers confiscated the man's driving license and banned him from driving vehicles requiring a license.
