(jd) A woman from Herford heard noises coming from her bedroom on Lönsweg at around 7.15 a.m. on Wednesday (03.09.) and went to investigate the cause. In the bedroom she surprised an unknown man, about 25 years old, who was rummaging through several drawers. Surprised by the owner, the person fled from the upper floor via a staircase to the first floor and got outside through the patio door. He then continued his escape on foot in an unknown direction. The man was wearing black pants, a black sweater and a red cap. An initial search of the area by the police officers called to the scene was unsuccessful. Witnesses who can provide information about the incident are asked to call 05221/8880.
