Mercedes collides with VW

(jd) On Saturday evening (March 15), witnesses noticed a Mercedes driving in an unsafe manner. The previously unknown driver was driving towards Spenge on Spenger Straße when he suddenly veered off the road to the right at around 8.30 p.m. and collided with a VW parked on the side of the road. The witnesses informed the police as the driver of the Mercedes showed clear signs of alcohol consumption. A breath alcohol test carried out by the police officers who arrived at the scene was clearly positive. The driver, a 37-year-old man from Spenger, was taken to the police station in Bünde to take a blood sample. The 37-year-old is not in possession of a valid driver's license. He was released on the spot after the police measures were completed. The material damage to the Mercedes and the VW, which belongs to a 25-year-old man from Spenger, amounts to around 16,000 euros.
