Mercedes crashes down an embankment

(jd) A 40-year-old woman from Vlotho was driving her Mercedes on Herforder Straße in the direction of Mindener Straße yesterday (April 2) at 7.18 pm. Between the junctions of Neue Landstraße and Am Sandhückel, she left the road to the right and hit a dustbin. The Vlotho woman then lost control of her vehicle, which hit a crash barrier behind it, over which her car then slid. As a result, the Mercedes crashed a few meters down an embankment. The driver and three children, who were also in the Mercedes, were injured in the accident. Witnesses to the accident looked after the occupants until the emergency services arrived. The four injured people were then taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals. The material damage is in the five-digit range. Herforder Straße remained closed for the duration of the accident investigation.
