(hd) On Thursday (08.05.2025) at 10:50 a.m., a traffic accident occurred in the construction site area of Bielefelder Straße (near the bypass) in Herford, in which one person was injured. A 52-year-old employee of a construction company was driving his truck at walking speed on Bielefelder Straße due to the work taking place there. A 76-year-old pedelec rider overtook the slow-moving truck on the right. The two-wheeler hit a roadworks barrier and the truck. The 76-year-old man from Herford fell onto the road and sustained several injuries, which had to be treated in hospital. The pedelec was damaged.
