(hd) On Friday (06.06.2025), a 65-year-old man from Herford parked his pedelec at a bank branch on Auf der Freiheit street in Herford at around 17:00. He secured the bike with the bike's own lock and an additional folding lock. When he returned to the parking location at around 11:00 p.m., the pedelec was no longer there. A search in the vicinity was unsuccessful. Apparently the bike had been stolen during the aforementioned period. It was a white Merida pedelec, model eSpresso 700 EQ. The value is estimated at around 2700 euros. The criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation. Witnesses to the crime are asked to call 05221 / 888-0.
