Rear-end collision at an intersection

Inattention caused a traffic accident in Vlotho on Mindener Straße at the junction with Winterbergstraße on Wednesday afternoon (3 September). At around 4 p.m., a 23-year-old woman from Porta Westfalica was driving along Mindener Straße in the direction of Vlotho-Uffeln. At the same time, a 41-year-old Audi driver from Bad Salzuflen was directly in front of the 23-year-old's vehicle. There was another 16-year-old passenger in the vehicle. At the junction with Winterbergstraße, the Audi driver had to slow down due to the red traffic lights. The VW Scirocco from Porta Westfalica overlooked the braking maneuver and rear-ended the Audi. The two occupants of the Audi and the VW driver were slightly injured by the force of the impact. A medical examination was carried out after the accident was recorded. The damage to property is estimated at around 2,000 euros.
