Single accident

(jd) A traffic accident occurred on Bünder Straße at around 10.40 p.m. on Tuesday (April 1). A 19-year-old from Löhn was driving in the direction of Kirchlengern when he lost control of his vehicle. The man first drove onto the oncoming lane in a bend and from there onto the right-hand side of the road. His vehicle ended up in the bushes there and finally crashed into a tree, where the BMW came to a halt. The vehicle then burnt out completely. The driver and his 17-year-old passenger, both of whom are also from Löhne, managed to get out of the car on their own. Both passengers were slightly injured in the accident and were initially treated by first aiders until the arrival of the emergency services. The 17-year-old was then taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The damage to property amounts to around 26,000 euros. The investigation by the traffic commissioner's office is ongoing.
