(jd) At around 12.25 p.m. yesterday (24.2.), a 17-year-old from Herford observed a person unknown to him trying to steal his e-scooter. He had parked it in a parking lot on Meierfeld street. The 17-year-old drew attention to himself and the unknown person, who was around 18 to 19 years old and wearing a dark jacket with a hood, left the e-scooter. A short time later, however, a 16-year-old girl from Herford discovered that her e-scooter had been stolen. It was also parked nearby in the parking area at Meierfeld. The criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation and is asking witnesses who can provide information about the incident or the unknown person to call 05221/8880.
