(jd) The employee of a supermarket on Deichkamp Street observed a man putting several electrical items into his shoulder bag at around 10.35 a.m. on Monday (17.3.). The previously unknown man deliberately took chargers and charging cables and apparently tried to remove the price tags. He then walked through the checkout area towards the exit, but without paying for the goods. When the employee approached the man in the entrance area, he tried to flee. However, this failed and the employee was able to detain the man until the police officers arrived. The man is a 30-year-old man from Herford who is now facing charges of shoplifting. The man was released on the spot once the police measures had been completed.
