(hd) Last Friday (20.12.2024) at 10:10 a.m. in Löhne-Mennighüffen, an attentive witness observed a white van (Mercedes Sprinter) being used to collect scrap metal. It eventually stopped in Kantor-Lohmann-Weg. There, the driver loaded a scooter into the van and quickly drove off in the direction of Friedhofsweg. The owner of the moped was identified. When asked, she explained that she had not wanted the vehicle to be disposed of. Her scooter had obviously been stolen. A search was immediately launched and the van could no longer be found. The "San Yang" scooter is painted orange and white, has a brown seat and bears the insurance license plate 932KRJ. Information on this crime will be accepted by the criminal investigation department on 05221 / 888-0.
