(jd) On Tuesday (9.7.), a 24-year-old man from Detmold was driving his Mercedes on Witteler Straße in the direction of Exter. At the same time, a 46-year-old man from Enger was driving his VW in the direction of Löhne. Near the Alte Postweg underpass, the Mercedes crossed into the oncoming lane for an as yet unknown reason. The 46-year-old tried to swerve out of the way with his VW. However, he was unable to prevent the collision and the VW skidded and came to rest in the ditch. Both drivers were slightly injured in the collision, and the man from Enger was taken to a nearby hospital by an ambulance. The property damage amounts to around 25,000 euros.
