(hd) An 83-year-old man from Löhn was driving his Mercedes on Bielefelder Straße in Herford in the direction of Bielefeld at 4:30 p.m. yesterday (29.05.2025). For as yet unexplained reasons, the driver lost control of his car and veered off the road to the right. There, the vehicle crashed into the pole of a traffic light. The damage to property is estimated to be at least 20,000 euros. The Herford police traffic commissioner's office has taken over the investigation.
