Traffic accident

(jd) A 35-year-old man from Enger was driving his BMW on Dreyener Straße from the direction of Westerenger at 2.54 p.m. on Monday (30.06.). At the junction with Dreschstraße, he noticed a white van that did not stop at the stop line but continued on Dreyener Straße. Although the 35-year-old, who had the right of way, immediately initiated emergency braking, he was unable to prevent the collision. However, the previously unknown person involved in the accident did not fulfill his obligations but continued his journey in an unknown direction. The Herford police traffic commissioner's office has taken over the investigation and is asking any witnesses who can provide information about the unknown driver of the Bielefeld-registered vehicle to contact them on 05221/8880. The damage to the BMW amounts to around 2,000 euros.
