(jd) A 51-year-old pedelec rider was injured in a traffic accident on Wednesday (13.11.) at 4.30 pm. The man was riding his pedelec along Lange Straße coming from Bielefeld into a traffic circle. At the same time, a 56-year-old man from Bielefeld was driving his Fiat on Biermannstraße and also entered the traffic circle. The pedelec rider, who had the right of way and was already on the traffic circle, tried to apply the emergency brakes but was unable to prevent the collision. The man fell onto the road and sustained minor injuries. An ambulance was called and he was taken to a nearby hospital.
