A collision occurred between a KIA Picanto and a MAN tractor unit on Lübbecker Straße in Löhne on Thursday lunchtime (14.11.). At around 1.55 p.m., a 33-year-old woman from Löhne intended to turn left from Grimminghausener Weg onto Lübbecker Straße in the direction of the city center. In doing so, she overlooked the truck coming from the right, which was being driven by a 59-year-old man from Bünde. The truck was heading towards the BAB A30 highway. As a result of the collision, the KIA was thrown back into Grimminghausener Weg and the driver sustained minor injuries. She had to be taken to Bünde hospital by ambulance. The KIA was no longer roadworthy after the accident and had to be towed away from the scene. Despite minor material damage, the MAN truck remained roadworthy. The material damage is estimated at around 4,500 euros.
