Traffic accident on footpath/cycle path

(jd) A traffic accident occurred on Lübbecker Straße at 6.50 a.m. on Monday (6.1.). A 19-year-old from Löhner was riding his bicycle in the direction of Tengern on the left-hand sidewalk/cycle path. At the same time, a 21-year-old woman from Loehn was riding her e-scooter in the direction of Herford on what she saw as the right-hand sidewalk/cycle path. A head-on collision then occurred between the two road users near the junction with Werster Straße. The force of the impact caused the 19-year-old to fall from his bicycle onto the pavement/cycle path. Both parties were slightly injured in the collision and were treated on site by the crew of an ambulance that was called to the scene.
