A traffic accident on the Westfalenring in Enger caused damage to an Audi A4 and a Citröen C3 on Thursday evening (8 August) at around 17:00. A 35-year-old Audi driver from Hiddenhausen was traveling on the Westfalenring in the direction of Bielefeld with two children as passengers. She intended to turn left onto the slip road to Hiddenhausener Straße. In doing so, she overlooked a 22-year-old woman from Bünde who was traveling in the opposite direction in her Citröen. This resulted in a head-on collision in the access area.
The Audi driver and her two children (aged 1 and 3) were slightly injured in the collision and were taken to a hospital in Herford for outpatient treatment. The woman from Bünder was uninjured in the accident. Both vehicles were so badly damaged by the accident that they had to be towed away from the scene. The material damage is estimated at around 15,000 euros.
