Traffic accident when turning

(jd) An 11-year-old girl from Herford was at the Johannisstraße/Tribenstraße junction at 7.12 a.m. on Friday (10.1.). She intended to cross Johannisstraße in the direction of Wiesestraße. When the pedestrian lights turned green for her, she crossed the road. At the same time, a 24-year-old man from Herford was driving his BMW on Tribenstraße and turned left into Johannisstraße. This resulted in a collision with the 11-year-old girl, who was hit on the hood. An ambulance was called and the girl from Herford was taken to hospital for outpatient treatment. Her legal guardians were informed of the accident.
