Traffic accident while parking

(jd) On Monday (1.7.) at 12.00 noon, a 59-year-old man from Hiddenhaus was driving his Ford on Nordring in the direction of Bahnhofstraße. He intended to park in a parking space on the right-hand side of the road at the junction of Nordring/Bahnhofstraße. To do this, he first stopped the Ford and then put it into reverse to drive into the parking space. At the same time, however, an 89-year-old woman from Bünder was crossing Bahnhofstrasse with her walking frame. She was hit by the reversing Ford and fell to the ground. An ambulance was called and the woman was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
