Traffic accident while parking

(jd) A 21-year-old man from Herford drove his Ford out of a parking garage on Bielefelder Straße yesterday (27.2.) at 1.20 p.m. and intended to turn right. He initially stopped his vehicle because another car was in front of him and also slowed down. When this car turned onto Bielefelder Straße, the 21-year-old also drove towards the exit. At the same time, however, a 46-year-old man from Herford was on the sidewalk on Bielefelder Straße, walking in the direction of Westring. As he passed the entrance area on foot, he was hit by the Ford. The pedestrian sustained minor injuries and had to be taken to hospital by an ambulance that was called.
