Unknown persons attack Herford residents

(jd) A 33-year-old man from Herford was walking along the sidewalk on Bielefelder Straße together with a 35-year-old man from Herford at 5.15 a.m. on Saturday morning (May 31). He stopped briefly at a vehicle parked there when two unknown male persons suddenly approached him. One of the strangers then punched the 33-year-old in the face and then kicked him. The strangers then made off in the direction of the city center. One of the persons is about 185-190cm tall, the other about 160cm. A search of the area by the police officers who were called immediately was unsuccessful. Witnesses who can provide information about the incident are asked to call 05221/8880.
