(hd) Over the course of last weekend (04.07.2025 - 07.07.2025), previously unknown offenders stole high-quality tools from two vans in Herford. Laser measuring equipment, electric ratchets and a drill were among the items taken from a Mercedes Sprinter on Bielefelder Straße. No signs of forced entry were visible on the vehicle. How the perpetrator or perpetrators were able to break into the vehicle is still under investigation. The side window of a Citroen Jumper on Ortsieker Weg was pried open. A leaf blower, two chainsaws, two hedge trimmers and a brush cutter were then stolen from the interior of the vehicle. The criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation. Witnesses who can provide information about the two crimes are asked to call 05221 / 888-0.
