(jd) A traffic accident occurred at the junction of Engerstraße and Wehrkampsweg yesterday (9 July) at 11.50 a.m. in which a 14-year-old cyclist from Bünde was injured. A 22-year-old man from Bünde was driving his VW on Wehrkampsweg in the direction of Engerstraße. At the junction there, the man intended to turn right into Engerstraße. At the same time, a 14-year-old from Bünder was riding his bicycle on the footpath/cycle path there. The VW driver collided with the bicycle and the 14-year-old fell. The bicycle skidded onto the road and crashed into a Honda driven by a 53-year-old woman from Engerstraße in the direction of Klinkstraße. An ambulance was called to take the teenager to a nearby hospital. His legal guardians were informed about the accident. Property damage was caused to both cars and the bicycle.
